Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine foundation factors which supporting learning process to achieve a continuous leaning and learning structure which covering benchmarking, knowledge network and teamwork at PT. Inti Karya Persada Tehnik (IKPT). This research also was conducted to examine any correlation between those foundation factors and learning structures. The data were collected from 84 employees working at IKPT, Jakarta. Factor Analysis and Discriminant Analysis were used to analyze the data. The result of the study showed that there was different variable grouping compared to the theory. There were ten factors that influenced most to the implementation of transformational learning at IKPT. Those factors were: 1) vision importance, 2) leadership, 3) vision implementation, 4) employees understanding and measurement, 5) functional myopia and teamwork, 6) awareness and financial ability, 7) thinking development, 8) management, 9) training and development, 10) acceptance. Meanwhile, all learning structures variable showed that there were significant different between perception groups. It also found that some of the learning foundations factors were factors which affecting those differences. The result suggest company to improve learning foundation which was not adequate enough and to conduct several efforts such as internal benchmarking, building better knowledge network and teamwork which is more action oriented.
