Abstract

The ratio of non-cash transactions with cash transactions in Indonesia is still relatively low. Non-cash transactions aims to improve public access to payment systems, more practical transactions, transparency of transactions, decrease cost of money management, improve the circulation of money in economy and more accurate in economy planning. Transactions using electronic money is one type of non-cash transactions. Research on the factors influencing intention in the usage of electronic money is important for electronic money issuers and Bank Indonesia in determining appropriate marketing strategies, in accordance with the factors affecting the usage of electronic money. This research uses descriptive research design (descriptive research) with survey method. Data collection from respondents conducted through structured questionnaires filled alone by respondents. Some of the questions made on the likert scale with five variations of the answers in the order strongly disagree to strongly agree. The sampling technique used is judgment sampling (non probability sampling). Respondents are undergraduate students who have never used server-based electronic money. Data processing using SPSS 22 and LISREL 8.30. The results show more consumers to follow the advice of friends and the social community in the usage of electronic money. Consumers are also more able to use/can use electronic money on various payment transactions so as to facilitate consumers in using the money as a means of payment. Publishers and Bank Indonesia can expand cooperation with various agencies, offices, univercities and schools to form less cash society that will increase the usage of electronic money. Another step that can be done is to increase cooperation with the provider of goods or services to be able to receive payments using electronic money.
