Abstract

The purpose of this study was to formulate a company strategy to anticipate the fastgrowing of oil palm industry, to catch opportunities, to eliminate threat by using the companyown strength, and decrease company weakness. This study was descriptive and done using case study method within three months. The primary data were collected using snowball and two step interactive technique first interviewing the experts, and second using questionnaires filled by experts and company top-managers. The secondary data were collected mostly from company records and centers of bisnis data, such as BPS and Pusat Data Bisnis (PDB). Vision analysis, External and Internal Evaluation Matrix (EFE and EFE). Internal - External Matrix, Corporate Social Performance Matrix (CSPM), and Etic Cek-List were used to analyze the data. The result of this study indicates that the company wants to be a national-wide producers of palm oil. The mission of the company is to developed their product and to wider their market. Consistent with the mission, the result of EFE. IFE, and IE Matrix idicates that the company should perform Hold and Maintain Strategies which is product development and market penetration were the most likely strategies use to perform it:These strategies were combined with extensification of plantation and factory in order to anticipate the massive development of oil palm indushy which is dominated by development of cultivation. But the company condition were not in good shape to perform those strategies caused by lack of self-belonging and knowledge from its stakeholders. It seems that the company were not making any proper attention to their stakeholders and only concern with themselves. This study provide not only the primary strategies for the company but also recommended implementation preparation programs based on short -range improvement program in order to increase the company performance and buying some faith from it's stakeholders and finally they can perform their primary strategies.
