Abstract

ABSTRACT Analysis of Remuneration System at PT UNITEX, Tbk Dwi Mulyani The research was aimed (1) to study the application of remuneration system that is related to the principle of justice both internal and external in order to increase the work satisfaction of the employees,(2) to discover factors influencing the amount of salary accepted by the employee and tofnd out how much the effect of the factors and (3) to formulate alternative improvement to the remuneration system in PT Unitex, Tbk. The research was conducted at PT Unitex, Tbk was located in Tajur-Bogor. The research used descriptive method through case study approach. Sampling taken ranges from shift head level to supervisor level consisting 80 employees. The research used Trend Analysis, Descriptive Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis. The result of Trend Analysis and Descriptive Analysis shows that the remuneration system applied in PT Unitex, Tbk was not based on work evaluation, so that the remuneration accepted by the employee had not been compared to the value of work and the salarygiven to the employee was not equal to the salary of employee in the company who have the same work load. This situation may have impact to the motivation of the employee and may initiate the jealousy of employee to others who had equal work load but accepting d~fferenrt emuneration and in the end will affect the company operation. The result of multiple regression analysis was found out that factors influencing enzployee salary are salary category, level of employee position and working period. Based on analysis the existing remuneration system applied at PT Unitex, it was suggested the new remuneration system that is more competitive andfairer to employees. The new remuneration system should be initiated by conducting work evaluation.
