Abstract

Design of MU Team Performance Appraisal Instrument Miske Roihani Natiabari The purpose of this study was to give illustration of Unilever merchandiser current conditions to analyze key performance factors with performance indicator of MU Team when they are doing their jobs and to propose the design of MU Team performance appraisal instrument. The primary data were collected front 30 respondents who involved in Merchandiser Re-launch concept formulation and know,-how about merchandiser activities. Factor analysis (KMO - Barlett's test and anti image correlation approach) and range criteria analysis were used to analyze the data. The result of study showed that Unilever merchandiser condition can be described as an "unwanted child" because they weren't managed properly. Lack of clear job description, control system, clear guidance, organization structure, reward and punishment, fair remuneration, regular appraisal and Key Performance Indicator (KPI). The result from factor analysis indicate that there are 17 job factors needed to be appraised for merchandiser and 19 job factors for supervisor and area coordinator. They are grouped into 4 factors personality, enthusiastn at work, operational technique and managerial ability Range criteria analysis result weight for each job factors used in MU Team performance appraisal. To run efectively performance appraisal instrument format should involve clear criteria and success indicator.
